    Red Pepper Chermoula

    Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

Roasted red peppers add a sweet & smoky twist to this zesty chermoula - you'll love it on meat, fish, veggies or even as a dip!

    HI FRIENDS!

How are you? How have you been? I've missed you!

Because it has been a while since we've caught up, I'm going to give a quick baby update because you know...that's pretty much what I've been up to in the time since I last posted! If you're just here for the chermoula - scroll on down to the food photos. 😋⬇️

Disclaimer: I'm about to sound like every smitten mama on the block, but man...I am completely, utterly, entirely in love with this little girl. 🥰

Molly turned 6 months old earlier this week (how in the heck did that happen??), and she is just the sweetest little babe.

She is such a little chunk (read: SO MANY baby rolls, and big for her age in both height and weight!). She's super smiley, still has a ton of hair, and is a great little traveler - she's been on 3 plane trips already!

As much as I'd love to say, "Charlie is totally in love with her and one of those super sweet dogs that cuddles with the baby and protects her like his own!" He's really just sort of...indifferent, haha.

I shouldn't be surprised - he doesn't really even snuggle with us - but all things considered, he's adjusting to puppy brotherhood quite well. As long as he gets to go for walks, he's a happy pup. And Molly has been laughing at him a little bit lately so that's super cute!

You also may have noticed that Yummy Noises has a fresh new look! (New theme, who dis?) So fancy. 💁🏻‍♀️

    Onto the food!

I bring you...roasted red pepper chermoula!

We took a day trip to Disney and visited Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Inside Oga's Cantina we had the Batuu Bits, which are described as "Crispy Galaxy Snack Bits with Spiced Chermoula Dip."

I'm not entirely sure what Batuu Bits are or who Oga is, but that chermoula dip was delish. Since I was too chicken to ask for the recipe (like we did with the Magical Chipotle Ranch Dressing), I decided to just look it up later and experiment on my own!

Chermoula is a Moroccan herb sauce, and while roasted red peppers aren't a traditional ingredient - I love the flavor and body you get from adding them to the sauce. It's smoky and sweet from the peppers & paprika, and the lemon juice & fresh herbs add a bright zippiness.

This sauce is packed full of flavor and really great to jazz up steak or chicken, but I won't lie to you - it's also super delicious just as a dip on pita chips or cucumber slices.

I have enjoyed it in all of these ways. 😋

    Yummy noises await you!

Roasted red peppers add a sweet & smoky twist to this zesty sauce - you'll love it on meat, fish, veggies or even as a dip!

    Course: Dip, Sauce
    Cuisine: Moroccan
    Servings: 1 1/2 cups
    Ingredients
    • 3/4 cup jarred roasted red peppers, drained & roughly chopped
    • 1/2 cup cilantro
    • 1/2 cup parsley
    • 4 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
    • 2 tsp smoked paprika
    • 2 tsp ground cumin
    • 1/4 tsp cayenne
    • 3/4 tsp kosher salt
    • 1/4 cup lemon juice, fresh-squeezed
    • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
    Instructions
    1. Add all ingredients except olive oil to a food processor and pulse until combined into a coarse paste, scraping down the sides as necessary.

    2. With the motor running, add the olive oil and process until just combined and uniform.

Note: Once you have added the olive oil, don't process for longer than necessary to bring everything together as overprocessing olive oil can make it bitter.

I made this to munch on while we watched Andor. This is even better than the version served at Oga's Cantina!
