HIIIII GUYS! Did you miss me?? I missed you! It has been a BUSY couple of weeks at work, I had a big event earlier this week and now that it's over - it is time to relax and have myself a cocktail.

Now I know that it's winter, but that just makes me even more ready to pretend like I'm on a beautiful beach vacation where I would order a fancy pants drink with an umbrella and lounge on the beach while I drink it. But you know what's cool about Kungaloosh? No vacation required!
It's easy, it's refreshing, it's perfect for a party...OH - and it's just a little bit strong. Fun story about the first time I had this sneaky little drink: I was over at Pete's family's house, and his dad decided to whip up a batch of Kungaloosh (um, 3 batches, maybe? I can't quite recall for some reason 😜). I'm sitting at the table with the family laughing and chatting and drinking my drink and feeling fine, and I decide to go upstairs to grab a sweatshirt.
The Kungaloosh had other plans...I might have fallen up the stairs just a little bit. Whoops! Needless to say, Pete's dad thought that was HILARIOUS! Which ok, it kind of was. Touché.
I love this recipe because it's very nicely balanced for a blended drink. Strawberry daiquiris and piña coladas are delicious for sure, but they are sooo so sweet that I kind of max out after one. But with Kungaloosh, the limeade gives it a nice tang so it isn't overly sweet, and the blackberry brandy gives it a yummy light berry flavor, but with a little kick. Plus, it's fun to have a fancy drink sometimes! Yes, wine is delicious, and there are always the good old standbys of mixed drinks and beer, but there's just something a little more fun about mixing up something special.
Let's do it!

This recipe is super challenging, so pay attention. Combine the OJ, blackberry brandy, rum, limeade and ice in a big blender.

Put on the top and blend away!

I was obviously kidding about it being complicated - it's a blended drink...what did you expect?
Pour into fancy glasses (or Solo cups, whatever...I don't judge) and ENJOY!
