Pretzel snaps are topped with a swipe of creamy peanut butter, a slice of banana and dipped in dark chocolate to make these healthy(ish) banana bites!
If you're craving something sweet - these chocolate peanut butter banana bites are a great way to satisfy that craving but without going too all-out crazy in the dessert department. The crunchy pretzel, nutty peanut butter, creamy banana and rich dark chocolate are a match made in heaven...plus they are super simple to make with just those 4 ingredients!
I like using the pretzel snaps for these because the waffle shape of them makes a nice little platform to hold the peanut butter - a regular pretzel twist would be super messy because the holes are so large that the peanut butter would get everywhere.
These taste great refrigerated or frozen! If you're going to eat them within a day of making them, I prefer to store them in the refrigerator because it lets you really taste the banana and the peanut butter. Any longer than that and you'll want to store them in the freezer to keep the banana fresh, and when frozen they are a refreshing treat!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bites
Ingredients
- 20 pretzel snaps
- about 3 ½ tablespoon creamy peanut butter
- 1 large banana, peeled and sliced into ¼ inch coins (20 slices total)
- 4 oz dark chocolate melting wafers
Instructions
- Spread about ½ teaspoon of peanut butter on each pretzel snap and top with a slice of banana. Arrange on a plate or baking sheet and refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour.
- In a microwave safe bowl or measuring cup, melt the chocolate melting wafers according to package instructions (usually microwave for 30 seconds, stir well, and continue microwaving at 10-15 second intervals & stirring until fully melted).
- One by one, drop each pretzel/peanut butter/banana piece into the melted chocolate and turn it to fully coat with chocolate. Use a fork to scoop it out and tap off excess chocolate and then transfer to a parchment or wax-paper lined plate or baking sheet. Refrigerate until chocolate is firm and set, about 30 minutes. Enjoy!
